St. john's united church, Belwood

worship 10:45aM

(3rd Sunday begins at 11:00AM for hymn sing)

Nestled in the heart of Belwood is St. John's United Church. Our distinctive bell tower is visible from beyond the lake. Established in 1856, St. John's has had much to offer the community over the last almost 160 years.

Keeping with the United Church tradition, we seek to be a place you can feel at home…feel warmly welcomed…a place to offer worship and praise Jesus in traditional and contemporary ways.

Time-honoured traditions persist here: Annual Vacation Bible School, active church school for children, the annual Turkey Supper and the Spring Luncheon. "If you feed them, they will come!" could be our motto.

Another lasting tradition is MUSIC! We have been blessed to have an amazing music program. Our wonderful Chancel Choir, always strong, has taken on renewed life under the leadership of Kara Shaw. Between St. John's and St. Paul's, our sister church, we have seen the development of "John-Paul" a motley crew of musicians who offer music at home and in the community. Friday night coffee-house style gatherings have seen as many as 12 musicians, of all ages, come together and raise voices in song! Spiritual music is alive and growing immensely in the hearts of the worshipping community!

Welcome, the doors of St. John's are open for you!
